The first step in this process is to take the Foster Parent Preparation Training class. The next step is to work with your selected Licensing Agency to complete an in-depth family assessment. This assessment will include:

• Home Safety Inspection
• Background screens on all household members ages twelve and older
• Employment, school and personal reference checks
• Willingness to work in partnership and support the goal of reunification

Upon successful completion of these steps, you will be issued a foster care license through the State of Florida. You are now ready to make a life-changing impact on the children and families in our community!
