More than five former foster children legally joined their new families at a joyful National Adoption Day ceremony hosted by Community Partnership for Children (CPC). The excited families, eager children, and visiting dignitaries gathered at the Hard Rock Hotel in Daytona Beach the morning of Friday, November 21. A total of eight youth became legal members of local families.
Judges presiding at the ceremony included Chief Judge Leah Case and Judges Kathleen McNeilly, Linda Gaustad, Rose Marie Karadsheh Preddy, and Christopher A. France of the 7th Judicial Circuit. The event also featured opening remarks by CPC Chief of Quality Management & Permanency Brittany Lawton, a proclamation read by CPC CEO Karin Flositz, and an official welcome by Chief Judge Leah Case.
