Foster A Child

After completion of the MAPP class, you will also need the following which will be coordinated by your selected provider:

• A completed home study on your home
• Health department check of your home
• Radon testing of your home
• Background checks on all household members

Once the process is completed you will be issued a foster care license by the State of Florida.

The agency you chose to affiliate with will be your support system. One of their employees will visit you monthly, as well as our case managers who will visit the child in your home monthly.
